Thought you'd enjoy seeing the rest of my Halloween/Pyrex display. I try to keep my Pyrex collection manageable by grouping the Pyrex by color.
This baker's rack holds some of my favorite Pyrex - see the Spirograph with under-plate - some Halloween candy and best of all a painting of my dad. I think it captures his essence well. He loved having his picture taken, enjoyed dressing in a suit and tie, going out on Saturday night, yet also was a "swamp man" taking his homemade pirogue out early each morning to set out crawfish traps. I sure do miss him.
Tomorrow morning, I leave with my girlfriends for our yearly September beach trip. We rent a condo in Gulf Shores, AL for a few days. A couple of my friends are beach lovers - they spend all day out with a good book and a pitcher of Mimosas! Or maybe two pitchers...
Not being so inclined - not into too much sand between my toes - also not too crazy about the way I look in a bathing suit - I hunt Pyrex! Last year I scoured the area, even going into Florida, and came back with 2 loaf pans (I already had) and one JAJ lid!
This year, I'm thinking, it'll be different! Who knows how much Pyrex is just sitting on shelves in Alabama and Florida waiting for this Louisiana woman to find! I'll keep you posted!
