Have been real busy lately!  Class Reunion, trip to an rv park to celebrate daughter-in-law's birthday.  Getting ready for another rv trip has kept me too busy to think.

Did have a chance to clean up and re-arrange the Pyrex and Cathrineholm that sits on an baker's rack on the screened in porch in front of my house.

Thought you might like to see it!

That's the Cathrineholms sitting on pretty and clean on my counter waiting to fill up the bottom shelf of the baker's rake.

Here's how it looks at night with the pumpkins I got at a flea market for $5 a piece!

Can't wait for Halloween!

Thought I'd share with you how I change my displays of Pyrex to match the seasons.  Since we're full force into the fall/Halloween season, I'm so into the black/golds/oranges of that time of the year!
The Rodney Kent usually has 2 black 503s but I thought that side of the room need more orange so I used the Daisy 503s instead.  One of the black 503s sits on a Space Saver Musical Staff.  The three Pyrex bowls are last year's from Target.
The other black 503 is sitting pretty in the single Rodney Kent.  The 475 with hugger is Pueblo and since it's a charcoal gray, it fits right in with the black!
Underneath Mr. Skeleton is the Pineapple Party Chip/Dip Set.  The bracket is my husband's bracket that he makes since the original brackets are so hard to find!
On the bottom shelf is my newest edition - Silhouette with rattan trivet - sitting on top of the 400 set of Daisy.  Next to them is the Daisy refrigerator set with the black 503 instead!
On the bottom shelf is also the Flameglo 400 set with the Terra Cotta Rose perched on top!
Middle shelf under the Pineapple Party is the "Brown" set of bowls with the gold pixies on the side.

On the bottom shelf is the Americana Fall Colors!  Above, on the top shelf, are the Orange Butterprints with the Daisy Cinderella bowls on top.

I guess you can say I'm ready for fall and for Halloween!

Wanted to share with you the wonderful and amazing trades and purchase I got in the mail today!  Hey, I'm doing my part to keep the Postal Service afloat!

The Bake n Carry is part of a collection of these that I have gotten recently.  I've got one more let to find - Country Cinnamon Bake n Carry - solid rust with the cloth cozy.  Interesting there are still lots of these still in the box!  Wonder why people didn't open the boxes?  Bad Christmas presents, wedding gifts to non-cooks?

The aqua set of fridgies and Primary Set I got as a trade for the turquoise hostess set with bracket and an open baker - white on turquoise snowflake.

For pink stems I got the Silhouette with rattan trivet and burgundy 024.  Been lusting after this Silhouette with trivet for some time!  Wouldn't get it unless it had the trivet!  Burgundy 024 is rare - not in real good condition but okay for where I want to display it.

The fleur de lis cups and a 474 lid I traded for the Spices with wooden trivet and a 503 lid.  The cups are not Pyrex but I like the fleur de lis being from Louisiana with our French background here in the southern part of the state.

The box from the Silhouette and 024 trade!  The person is from Alaska and can only trade using flat rate boxes because of the high cost of shipping - so she sure knows how to stuff the boxes and is a mean packer!  Nothing broken!

But we had a scare when tracking the package it left Baton Rouge coming in from Alaska and went on to San Francisco!  What!  Would I get it?  What was the deal here?  Well it came back to Baton Rouge and then to my small town which is 45 minutes away!  Why the detour?  I'll never know.  The box was torn but the contents were intact!

Trading is one way of growing your Pyrex collection!

Let me know if you trade and how it's working for you!

Only things left that didn't sell at the garage sale.

The weather was warm and muggy, not our usual October cool, crisp days.  Even rained a bit around 2 pm but people still kept coming.

Met some budding Pyrex collectors who are just starting out.

It was lots of fun but lots of work.

What's left is going to ARC - local thrift shop!

Totally unrelated to the garage sale - thought I'd post some "eye candy"!  My favorite bake ware set - Horizon with the Finel Hearts perched on top to show how much I love the blues!

So happy to put the annual garage sale to rest.  Time to gear up for my class reunion this weekend!

Won't be hunting Pyrex - will be looking for something to wear that can make me look 40 pounds lighter!  Think that will happen?  I have about as much luck with that endeavor as I have with finding a Lucky in Love!

Annual city-wide garage sale!

My extra Pyrex for sale - all priced and ready to go tomorrow.
Other stuff for sale!
And some other stuff!

Hope the weather holds up.  It's October in Louisiana and it 90 degrees outside!  Cool front coming and can't come soon enough!

Will let you know how we did!
